Thomas P. Williams, D.D.S.
Dr. Williams graduated with a D.D.S. from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry program in June of 1968. He then completed his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Bellevue Hospital in 1971. At the completion of his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Williams joined the United States Navy as a Staff Surgeon at the U.S. Naval Amphibious Base in Coronado, California. Dr. Williams’ military service ended in 1973 and at that time he joined Great River Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (formerly West Third Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery).
Dr. Williams is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is recognized as a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has received the prestigious Arnold K. Maislen Award for Contributions to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, awarded by New York University’s Bellevue Hospital in 1992. Also, Dr. Williams has served as Director (1991 to 1998), then as President (1997-1998), for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
