Dr. DeWitt graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1996 then after a one-year internship, he completed his four year Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Gundersen Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wisconsin in 2001.
Dr. DeWitt joined Great River Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and achieved board certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has served in the Dubuque area continually since 2001.
Dr. DeWitt and his wife, Anna, have three children: Abigail, Aiden, and Alex. Abigail is a student at Iowa State University, Aiden attends Hempstead High School, and Alex enjoys Roosevelt Middle School. As a family they enjoy numerous activities including horse back riding, hunting and hockey. They are active at CrossRoads Church in Peosta and have been involved in medical mission work to Haiti through Mountain Top Ministries.
Dr. DeWitt has written and spoken extensively about mission work and Mountain Top Ministries. He published a book titled, “Give Your Best – How Willem Charles Transformed His Haitian Village from Poverty in Voodoo to Prosperity in Christianity.”
